A portrait of "Millie". She was my cousin's Golden Retriever. Their beloved dog, Tawny,
was her mother. Tawny had six puppies. Out of all of the puppies, Millie became the only
survivor. She had a wonderful golden coat. She was a very fine dog. I met her and found
her gentle and loving. I did a small portrait in pencil of her when she was a puppy. Later
my cousin wrote a short story about a girl and her dog, using millie as the star. I did
some illustrations for the story. I couldn't resist also doing a true portrait of her. We
miss her.
